Coach Flemming is going into his sixth year with Zingos. He is entering year thirty as an English teacher and coach with Carroll County Public Schools. He was named the head coach at Westminster High School for Varsity Boys Lacrosse, heading into the 2023-2024 school year. He was previously the head coach at Gerstell Academy and prior to that at Liberty High School. In his ten years at Liberty, he guided the Lions to three consecutive State Semifinals and one State Runner-up finish. He was named the 2014 and 2016 USA Lacrosse Coach of the Year for Carroll County, as well as the 2016 Carroll County Times Coach of the Year for Boys Lacrosse. Coach Flemming is a long-time offensive coordinator but loves coaching all aspects of the game.
Coach Flemming has a long history of coaching Varsity high school athletics in both wrestling and football as well. Recently, he was inducted as a coach into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame, with the Lifetime Service to Wrestling Award.
Coach Flemming played his high school lacrosse as a defenseman for Coach Ted Hainey at Germantown Academy and his college lacrosse at Western Maryland College under Coach Keith Reitenbach. He continues to play for the Blarney Lacrosse Club.
Coach Flemming resides in Westminster, MD, with his wife Melanie, and has four children:
Samantha, Emerald, Stevie, and Michael. His youngest, Michael or “Trey,” is a current player on the 2027 Blue Team.
